I had the bellsouth email account finally working for about a year. I tried the auto setup, manual setup for both POP and IMAP and all of them come with the following message " We couldn't log on to the incoming (IMAP) server. I finally chatted with a live person from AT&T that help me fix the issue. I just wanted to give you a heads up about the Bellsouth email server settings. Here's is some simple steps to Fix BellSouth Email Server Settings. 1) Log in to your account and follow these steps, 2) Click on Settings under the My Account tab. 3) Click on Forwarding and POP/IMAP Settings in the left-hand navigation menu. This will take you to your Forwarding and POP/IMAP Settings page. 4) On this page, make sure that both boxes labeled Use SMTP Authentication and Require TLS encryption are checked.
